Differents between a Channel Operator and an IRC Operator:

IRCop is NOT a ChanOp, they are completely different.
Chanops (@ on their nick) manages channels, IRCops manage IRC servers.
You can't get a @ simply because you are an IRCop, IRC doesn't work that way, nor should it.
On our server is not possible as an IRCop to op yourself. If you want @ all the time I suggest you use an eggdrop, you can get one of the official bot channel.
However, you will still only have @ when the bot is in your channel.
